The Met x Eichholtz presents the Dining Chair Roumier, inspired by the neoclassical elegance of an 18th-century French armchair in The Met collection.

Featuring Palmer beige upholstery and black legs with brass accents, our interpretation of the Museum’s chair exudes refined sophistication. Infuse your space with the historical charm and timeless beauty of this exquisite piece, which is part of the Met x Eichholtz Metropolitan Collection collection.


HISTORIC PROVENANCE

The Dining Chair Roumier reflects the opulence of a French armchair from 1788 in The Met collection. The original was one of 16 armchairs commissioned from the master chairmaker Georges Jacob (French, 1739–1814) for Louis XVI's gaming room at Saint Cloud. Our dining chair celebrates the neoclassical elegance and meticulous artisanship of Jacob’s designs.
